HD Apparel Co’s Leadership Team Expands to Support Corporate Clients

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC – In May 2025, HD Apparel Co made its quiet debut at its North Charleston facility without any fanfare or press release. On that first day, the space was bare, occupied only by the company’s three founders-Huntor Ross, Dalton Stoner, and Jay Kelly-along with their wives, Alix Ross and Natalie Stoner. The primary concern was not whether the facility was too spacious, but rather how soon they could fill it with growth.
Established in 2023, HD Apparel Co was born during a pivotal moment in the careers of its leadership team. Ross had just completed his training at Army National Guard flight school in August of that year. Stoner, trained as a data scientist, and Kelly, who had extensive experience in commercial signage and franchise operations, found themselves at critical junctures where their expertise, timing, and mutual aspirations converged.
Instead of responding to an industry in disarray, the trio recognized a chance to create a physical branding company that operates with the same level of rigor, accountability, and long-term vision that is expected from top-performing organizations.
“Most companies don’t face challenges because they can’t procure shirts or hats,” stated Ross, who serves as the Chief Revenue Officer of HD Apparel Co. “They encounter difficulties because they have to juggle multiple vendors, deal with inconsistent quality, and lack someone who feels responsible for the outcomes. We established this company to eliminate that friction.”
From the outset, the founders purposefully assigned leadership roles. Ross manages revenue strategy and client relationships. Stoner, in his role as Chief Operating Officer, oversees production systems and execution. Kelly, as Chief Financial Officer, brings decades of experience in helping franchise operators and commercial businesses scale sustainably. Collectively, they assembled a team that embodies these capabilities, ensuring that the organization does not rely on any single individual.
“If one of us were to step away tomorrow, the company would carry on,” Ross remarked. “That’s intentional. We’ve cultivated a team that mirrors the same discipline and ownership mentality as the founders.”
The transition to the North Charleston facility represented a strategic shift. While HD Apparel Co remains committed to supporting local businesses and organizations, its growth signifies an increasing emphasis on regional and multi-location clients-companies substantial enough to view branding as a strategic investment rather than a mere one-time purchase.
“For us to thrive, our clients must thrive,” Ross clarified. “To fully support them, we need to operate at their level.”
The larger facility enables HD Apparel Co to facilitate comprehensive corporate apparel programs, which include standardized uniforms, centralized ordering, and consistent brand execution across teams and locations. For clients visiting the facility for the first time, the expected reaction is straightforward: relief.
“We want companies to feel as though they have finally found someone who is committed to achieving results,” Ross said. “Not just another vendor, but a partner, a small extension of their team.”
Experienced leadership plays a crucial role in shaping the company culture. HD Apparel Co actively champions veterans both within and outside the organization, including guidance from a retired military E-9 who serves as Operations Manager. The focus on teamwork, accountability, and execution reflects the valuable lessons learned from military service, which are now applied to commercial operations.
Looking forward, HD Apparel Co intends to continue expanding its capabilities, growing its team, and laying the foundation for future satellite locations throughout major Southeast markets. The challenge, as Ross notes, is to maintain transparency and trust during the company’s growth, ensuring that clients can still walk in, observe the operations, and engage with what symbolizes their brand.
While many providers pursue volume, HD Apparel Co has opted for a different approach: prioritizing infrastructure before comfort, nurturing relationships before transactions, and establishing systems that can uphold responsibility at scale.
